After meeting at university, Banyan’s founders were emotionally and morally impacted by the ongoing refugee crisis from the Syrian civil war. Inspired to do more than simply pass in a report for their International trade class, the founders travelled to Lebanon seeking to create a meaningful pathway for sustainable change in the face of the humanitarian crisis that surrounded them. Realizing that there were plenty of talented IT professionals and software developers throughout the region who simply needed help in reaching the global market, the pair founded Banyan. Named after the Banyan Tree famously located in the middle of American University of Beirut campus, their goal was to provide superior IT talent acquisition services and software development solutions for the global market, ultimately connecting talented IT professionals throughout the middle-east to incredible job opportunities centered on their unique skillset.
